tinyduties

Tiny duties, big skills.

Three small things for each child, every day: a conversation at the dinner table, a chore at their current step, and a responsibility of their own. For ages 4 to 16. Everyone in the family sees the same progress, and now and then you learn something alongside your child, or remember what you had forgotten.

Today screen: Ada's talk, chore and responsibility cards

One talk

Questions with no right answer: philosophy, history, the world, feelings. Siblings discuss the same topic at their own age.

One chore

From the step the child is working on right now. Not too easy, not too hard.

One responsibility

Bringing in the mail, watering the plant. Looking after their own things.

Tidy room skill: four of six steps done
Skills

No points, just steps

Ten skill ladders, from a tidy room to the kitchen, from money to first aid. When the child can do a step on their own, a parent says "Yes" and the next one opens. Say "Not yet" and they stay on the step; we ask again a week later.

Ada's life journey: skill garden, world passport, a visit page
Life journey

A year that writes itself

What they said in your talks, the countries you explored, the museums you visited, the things they did for the first time. Each area grows in a garden that never shrinks. By the end of the year you have a journey written in your child's own voice.

Country of the week: the Kenya card and the country picker
Week and month

A country a week, a skill a month

Each week a country: one word, one surprising fact, one Sunday dish. Each month a skill, step by step over four weeks. Every other week an idea for a museum, gallery or botanical garden, with three questions for afterwards.

Today's mission in child mode: A mission for you!
Goals of your own

Add what the list is missing

Feeding the cat, the violin, swimming… A one-step task comes as a card on the days you pick; write a few steps and it becomes a whole new skill ladder. There is also "today's mission": send your child a mission, it opens in child mode as "A mission for you!", and finishing it earns a sticker. Stickers collect in their life journey; there are no points.

Editing the kitchen ladder your way
Made by you

Edit a ladder your way

Change, remove or add steps on one of the app's ladders; your child carries on from the step they are on, and the chore card brings your step on the same days. Skip a step that is not for you, or open a category of your own, like "Music" or "Calm", and grow it in the skill garden.

Child mode: Ada's own screen
Child mode

A screen of their own

Open it on their own tablet if they have one, or lend them your phone for a while. They see the day's cards on a big, simple screen and tick off what they finish themselves. Child mode closes only with a four-digit code you choose.

The whole family

One family, one progress

A partner, a grandparent, a carer: they join with a one-time invite code. Whoever marks a card, you both see it.

Gentle rhythm

A missed day is not a penalty

An unfinished task comes back the next day as "still waiting for you". No streak breaks, no counter resets.

Celebrations

A small reward, if you like

You choose the day's, week's and month's celebration: a trip to the park, baking a cake together.

Made for them

A bonus card from what they love

Animals, music, space, sport. Every other day a small task from something your child loves.

No repeats

Months of new content

Dozens of talk topics, each at two age levels, ten skill ladders and age-based responsibilities. No card comes twice in a month.

Quiet

No ads, no tracking

No ads, no analytics, no AI. What you write is seen only by the parents in your family.
